Registration is officially open!

Please Join us this year August 5-8, 2025 for the 4th annual Northeast Bluefin Showdown!

Enter to compete for the heaviest giant bluefin tuna, earn some bragging rights and cash prizes!

We will have 3 weigh-in locations; Newburyport, Portland and Gloucester! The Captains meeting will be held Tuesday August 5th at Michael’s Harborside in Newburyport at 4 PM where we will have appetizers and drinks, we will complete registration, cover the rules and then teams will be free to get to their boats.

Fishing days will be August 6-7 and the Awards ceremony will be August 8th

For 2025 we have chosen the Umaine Foundation’s Highly Migratory Conservation Species Fund. Donations will benefit the Pelagic Fisheries Lab run by Walt Golet. The work they do directly benefits the giant bluefin tuna fishery providing accurate unbiased data that leads to better management of the resource!
